More about the
BEAST
I grew up in rural Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and have always had a deep connection to the woods. Lugging trees from a young age, I developed a natural strength. Both inner and outer strength have always been important to me. Now having a family, this drive has multiplied. Let me tell you, that power translates directly into what you’ll get when you incorporate chaga and other functional mushrooms into your regular routine. These powerful Maritime Mushrooms have been my secret weapon for years. I use it in my pre-workout, in my muscle recovery drinks, and as an overall energy booster to conquer each day.
Our core values
We are a family first business driven by our two little spicy beasts! We believe in sustainably harvesting chaga mushroom for preservation. We also source local ingredients wherever possible. We believe that each family should have access to natural nutritious products, so we work hard to keeping our costs down as much as possible in order to keep the prices low for you!
Frequently Asked Questions:
Where do your mushrooms come from?
Our chaga is wild-harvested in Cape Breton, where the forests are clean, healthy, and rich with this powerful fungus. Other functional mushrooms in our blends, like lion’s mane, reishi, and turkey tail, are grown locally in Nova Scotia and across the Maritimes through small farms and trusted partners who share our values of quality and sustainability.
How do you sustainably harvest chaga?
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. When harvesting chaga, we take only a portion of the fungus from the tree, leaving enough behind to allow it to continue growing. This ensures the birch trees stay healthy and the chaga can regenerate naturally. We also rotate harvest areas and work with experienced foragers who respect both the forest and future generations.
